How do I remove a blank page? When saved a Google doc, a blank page shows up, not on original.

I've tried to backspace out of the blank page, I've tried to right click and delete....nothing works.

Hi all,
To add a little to my friend Stephen's answer ...
If this is an ordinary page in a document you created in Docs, simply drag your cursor through the extra page and into the bottom of the page before it and pressBackspace/Enter.
If this is a document that was converted from a Microsoft Word file, it might contain a section break that can't be removed in Docs. If that's the case, you will need to remove it in Word and the convert it to Docs again.
If you have unwanted pages in a resume, you should know that most of the Docs resume templates are set up using "invisible" tables. In order to see what's happening with your document, right-click in the text area of the first or second page and select Table properties > Table borders. Change the border width to 1 and the color to black.
You should now be able to see the table borders and what cell is causing the problem so you can fix it. The problem is usually that
- there is too much text on the page
- the line spacing is contributing to too much content
- the minimum row height is too large, or
- the page margins are too big
One or more of these is forcing part of the table to the next page.
Tables in Docs require a line space before and after them to work properly, so if there isn't enough room for the bottom line space, part of the table and the line space that follows it will be pushed to the next page. Please try adjusting all these things to see if that resolves it.
If you're still unable to fix the problem, would you be willing to share a copy of your resume with me with editing permission so I can try to resolve the problem for you? If so, here's how:
- Open the document you need help with.
- Choose File > Make a copy.
- In the new copy of the document remove any sensitive information, or replace it with similar placeholder data.
- Choose File > Share and click on Get shareable link in the upper right-hand corner of the dialog box.
- Click Anyone with the link can view and change it to Anyone with the link can edit.
- Click the link in the address box below and press Control+C to copy it (on a Mac, press ⌘C).
- Click Done.
- Post the link in a reply in this thread.
Please let me know if you're able to resolve the problem using my instructions above or whether you'd like me to try to fix it for you.
~Jo
